ACP, Annals of Internal Medicine host forum on H5N1 influenza

ACP and Annals of Internal Medicine presented “H5N1 Influenza: What Physicians Need to Know” on Friday, Sept. 6. The virtual forum for ACP members and Annals subscribers featured expert panelists discussing H5N1 influenza, including current strategies for testing, preventing, and managing H5N1 infection. The forum was moderated by Deborah Cotton, MD, MPH, FACP, Deputy Editor of Annals of Internal Medicine.
The panelists joining the discussion included:
- Demetre Daskalakis, MD, MPH, director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases;
- Jonathan Runstadler, PhD, DVM, MS, professor and chair of the department of infectious disease and global health at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine; and
- Shira Doron, MD, MS, professor of the clinical and translational science program at Tufts University School of Medicine.
